American Injustice: The Case of Race in America.

First and foremost I want to state that I am a supporter of All Lives Matter. I also want to state that I am a 29 year old male who is pale, freckled, and gingerish. I am also lucky enough to be dating the love of my life. She is a 25 year old ebony beauty with gorgeous natural hair and a smile that could brighten a room from complete darkness.

Being in an interacial relationship matters of race in general, let alone the current racial climate in America, cross my mind frequently. Granted they cross my mind probably more than they should. But with the things going I just worry about her safety. I worry that at times because we stick out together if might ever put us in danger because of all they things pumped out in the media. I worry about a lot of things I can not control. But most of all I worry because I love her.

These things are just some of the reasons why I chose to begin to support All Lives Matter.  I chose to support All Lives Matter and it's not to take away attention that black lives matter in the least, but because I'm focusing on a larger issue. Black lives do matter and they do deserve focus right now with everything going on. But on one hand if we are going to declare war on racism and win both here in America and globally we all need to reach a level of color blindness and unity.

When I look at my girlfriend the first thing I notice should not be that she is black it should be that she is a woman. As when she looks at me she should see a man. As human beings that is all we are men and women. Color blindness doesn't mean that we should all act the same, adopt the same cultures/religions, or speak a universal language. It just means when we see people that we actually SEE people. Not stereotypes and potential enemies. While we also learn to celebrate and learn from our differences and let them become a tool to unite us rather than divide us.

We desperately need to unify. If we are to survive we must stand together. That is what the media is pushing so hard to prevent. They try race bait us everyday on every major news channel. This is something we can't let them accomplish. Whether you are Asian, Black, Latino, or White we need to unite as human beings from a point of love for our fellow men and women.

I want to take a second to speak to YOU, the individual reading this, no matter what we do short of brain washing or manipulation we will never control the actions of others. Each of us are only responsible and in control of our own actions. With that said I hope whoever you are I can appeal to you to SEE people, not races and to love your fellow man and woman.

The truth is all life matters.  Children, men, women, politicians,  cops, teachers, plumbers, janitors. We are all humans. We just come in different sizes, shapes, and shades. We work in different jobs. But we have to reach a point where we judge people on their  character as an individual and not because of how we see they look.

If you made it this far I want to thank you for reading and allowing to vent and have an outlet to get this off my chest.

Be Blessed.

Rushing Winds of Time Passing

There comes various times in my life when I begin questioning things whether it be things around me, it be things in my life, or even my life itself. Currently I find myself questioning everything. It seems more and more that as I grow older things become less and less what I was shown, taught, or told  to be.
